The meetings of the Scientific Technical Committee O were held physically on 23rd February 2023 (Paris, FR) (64 members, 8 corporate members, 10 research affiliates, 23 invited guests), and physically on 25th August 2023 (Dublin, IRL) (43 members, 12 corporate members, 5 research affiliates, 15 invited guests).

- 2026: 59th Conference – Austin, Texas, USA – accepted by consensus vote
- 2027: 60th Conference – Vienna, Austria (new proposal)

- CIRP ICME 2024 – was approved
- CIRP ICME 2025 - July 9 – 11, 2025, Gulf of Naples (Teti) – sponsorship is accepted by consensus vote
- CLF 2024 – April 17 -19, 2024, Twente (Thiede) – sponsorship was accepted by consensus vote

Besides, the following keynote paper proposal was given in August to be voted in 2024 in Paris during winter meetings:

Paper Presentations and Technical Reports
At the two STC O meetings in 2023, a total of 16 technical presentations (7 in February, and 9 in August) were delivered and discussed. The talks in February and August focused on STC O research area (2) “Orchestration, management and operation of production systems and networks”.
CIRP Novel Topics in Production Engineering
In terms of the CIRP Novel Topics in Production Engineering, three proposals were provided during the STC O February meeting and accordingly accepted from STCO.
- Implementing Release Control Policies in Discrete-Event Simulation Models, by M. Urgo et al.
The proposal is supported by the meeting participants and will therefore be submitted to the Editorial Committee.
